the only reason that the war in iraq has become more deadly and is continuing that way is because of syria and iran. they are recruiting and training more and more radical islamists. they sneak across the border into iraq and attack the coalition forces. its not the same war that started, it has changed drastically.

as far as the two koreans are concerned im not sure were here to try and stop the north from invading but the south from taking over the north. it was be to the south koreans benefit if the north was overran.

me and a few other people from my company went to go attack another one since they were out in the field.

it was alot of fun, and its now 2am and i just got back about 20 min ago.. im glad i got to do this since this my second to last weekend left here in s. korea!

well unlike most people i didnt lurk here on the boards before posting. i was DA'd over 3yrs ago, joined the army to get away from everyone and everything JW, including family. it was joining the army that did it. they came over to ask if it was true that i joined the army, because my mom told them, and said i would be DF'd and i said naw im DA'ing myself. it was that night that my mom was not allowed to have the bookstudy at her house since i was in there. my mom was pissed.

so i had my picture up right away.

you were my first love and youll be my last love ...living in florida has given me the opportunity to see couples who have been.

together for decades sometimes dating back to the second world war.. .

it has always amazed me how some couples can stay together for 20, 30, 40 .

well i havent been married for very long but i am 100% sure that me and my wife will grow old together. we both want it so we do our best to make it happen. i think that the glue that holds us together other then deep love for each other is honesty.

if people are honest with each other then they can also be trusted, which is very important in a marriage. and if someone is honest and trustworthy then we as humans tend to open up. once we do that we allow ourselves to become emotionally attached to a person.

it helps when partners also have things in common and are also physically and sexually attracted to the other person. though the more a person opens up the more beautiful they become, so the more a person is attracted to the other. ive been with a few women who by societies standards today would be considered very pretty, but they were so high maintenance and prissy that they became unattractive to me. some guys like those kinds of girls, and i feel sorry for them, its those kinds of girls that are never happy and more likely to cheat on you and just up and leave for someone who has more money, better car, better house, etc.

im glad that i found a pretty girl who is low maintenance. it makes things so much easier for me and for her as well.

children in the jehovah's witness religion really have it hard.

to compare, look at other churches.

most of them have sunday school, and this is geared to children that are not able to really comprehend the deeper things.

spanking is NOT physical abuse!

this is one thing that i disagree with most people on. beating a child is abuse, but spanking is not. some kids, like me, dont listen to thier parents untill a spanking. and ever since some idiot, that oprah endorsed on her tv show, said that spanking is abuse and we shouldnt do it, the children of our society have become more and more disobediant and defiant. just look at how many boot camp for teens there are, or on the daytime talk shows all the "my kid is out of control" episodes. they walk all over the parents and they have been given more power over thier parents because the parents believe that it is abuse to spank thier child. there is nothing wrong with a spanking, but there is something wrong with a parent who thinks that spanking is. if those kids were spanked as a kid they wouldnt be out of control.

P.S. I am right, you are wrong!

hmmm.... i was going to post a point but i forgot i will say this though

the last few days ive been on a mission with JPAC (Joint POW/MIA Accounting Command) searching for the remains of a fallen soldier. and after digging in the ground where this soldier was supposed to have died in a chinese pow camp, no remains were found. the search is still on. his friend a retired Seargent Major, was there throughout the whole excavation. it was an honor to meet this man as he fought in the Korean war and to help JPAC try and find the remains of fellow soldiers. POW and MIA are trully never forgotten as there are teams of people still searching for our fallen soldiers.

And that the US give money for jobs of the Iraqi people and kick these american corparation out and give money to the people to rebuild not these carpetbaggers

did you know that the majority of the contracts to rebuild iraq and the workers are iraqis? and its the us that is paying for those projects. did you know that in many areas throughout iraq it was the us that gave them clean drinking water and electicity? they never had it before but they do now. we have made iraq better but you dont see it because the media doesnt want you to see it. they want you to think that we are all bad people and this war is unjustified. so who is indoctinated now frankie?

anyway yes there are some american contracters out there but that is either because the iraqis didnt know how to do the project, dont have the manpower, or are to afraid to go the area in which the project for that contract is.

when i was in the borg, i had no idea of the stories my grandparents (both wwii vets) were telling me.

now that i've done my tour, and can relate to some the stories that these 'weirdo war vets' have told me, i'm starting to get it.

here's some thoughts...

Have you read the book "1984" by G. Orwell?

no i have not but while i was out in the field doing some training, one of the guys was reading it and i do plan on buying it when i return to the states. (book selection in korea sucks)

and yes i am a Medic, my job is to save not only Soldiers lives but also Iraqi's lives, whether or not they were just shooting at me and my buddies. and i knew what i was signing up for when i joined, knowing that i would be trained to kill others, without question. its either they die or i die because they want me dead. i want to get home so of course im going to try and kill the enemy, its part of my job. its not brainwashing, its a job and we train enough so that it becomes instinct.

yes I would. I joined the army when I was 19 and if told to go to war and kill people then I would have done so; I don't understand the squeamishness some people have about the concept of killing people, I can think of several circumstances where I would do so without a second thought.

I concur, exceot i was 22 when i joined and am still in the service. just because you cant, wont, or dont want to doesnt mean that you have to try an make those who do to be somekind of horrible people. in you other posts you have made, it is clear that you disagree witht the war and the military. get over it dude, people die, its a part of life. and how many people died because they thought god wanted christianity spread throughout the world? how many people would kill islamists if the pope said to?
